I'm mixed about this book.
It was very well written from a literary standpoint. However, it's a dystopic novel about a father and son traveling post holocost (probably nuclear). ugh....
It's bleak' then it just gets more bleak. I wouldn't actually recommend it to anyone because it's so bleak, but it was well written. It's not a book I'd read again. It's not one I would have read had Jeanne not made me do it :)
I am sooo ready for cheesy vampire fiction now :) ...more

Cormac McCarthy did an amazing job with this post-apocalyptic novel. Be warned, this is not for the weak...the story is about a future in which hope no longer exists, so if you're looking for an uplifting tale, this one's not it.

Really want to give 4 stars but the depressing tone was too dark. Very detail and a bit slow, yet very very haunting. i think i'm gonna go see the movie version.
