i simply did not see the depth that everyone else sees in this book..
The writing gets 5 stars, but I didn't really like the story itself. Very descriptive, post-apocalyptic imagery. Father and son travel "the road" scavenging for food and avoiding "the bad guys." There is little hope left in the world, but they continue on. The narrator was very easy to listen to.

I can't believe I finally finished it-- the darkest, most depressing book I've ever read in my life. I made myself do it-- am I glad? no.
