Fantastic book; probably 4.5 stars. More of a personal taste thing—sometimes the preponderance of introspection gets a little tiring. But just a great book about a wizard named GED, and how he finds his meaning and understands what it is to grow up. Good for almost any age.

Me gustó mucho todo el universo de Terramar, la manera en la que la magia está en todas partes tanto para el bien como para el mal, cómo cada personaje tiene una búsqueda que realizar y sus propias sombras que enfrentar.

I remember finding this book at the local book store - I was supposed to buy only school supplies - but I was an avid Fantasy fan, and this was fantasy, so I bought it. I got the following books from library. I love this series. This was what made me love Ursula Le Guin.

I still love this book. I listened to the audiobook with my children (ages 9 and 12) and they didn't like it as much as I do. They didn't want to read the next one. Maybe we can revisit this again later. ...more
