This book is a sad, heartfelt, happy story of a man, his car, his wife and his neighbors. The way the story made me feel was reminiscent of the way the movies UP and Forest Gump made me feel.
If you ran into Ove on the street, you might rightly assume he's a bit of a grump. Orphaned as a teen after being raised mostly by his pragmatic father, Ove lived his life the way he knew best -- by knowing he was always right, and that his way was the best. Until Sonja walked onto his train like a ray of sunshine personified, and his life was never the same.

Wow. Ove just sucks you in and makes you care about him. But that ending, so sad, but yet a kernel of goodness.
