Wow, this collection is pretty weird and it took me a REALLY long time to read. It's my first time reading Link, and also I'm pretty new to short stories. I really loved some of these (The Summer People, Two Houses, I Can See Right Through You) and really didn't care for a few (Valley of the Girls, Origin Story) and the rest were somewhere in between. I was loving the premise of Secret Identity and then it went in a weird direction and now I don't know how I feel. ;)

There were several very memorable stories, and I appreciated the creativity, imagination, and playfulness. But there were many stories I found myself wanting to rush through. Quirky for quirkiness' sake and ultimately somewhat 2-dimensional, more about the actions on the page than about anything larger, or perhaps my interest just wasn't held tightly enough to catch what lay beyond the surface.
