This was a book I had been wanting to read for quite sometime due to just the fact of the nature of what it dealt with and because its a book that is referred to in many ways. Dawn gave me this book in the stack of classics with which she sent me off to Egypt in 2004. I finally read it, and it is indeed a classic. I slogged through the introduction, and when I asked my dad about it, he said, "No author would include something like that in a novel anymore." I could've skipped it, I guess, but little did I know.
