If Cloud Atlas had gone on for another 200+ pages and maybe three other different lifetimes, I wouldn't have been mad.

It's hard to describe the premise of the book, or the plot (without giving away the ending...middle?...ending), or whatever. All I want to say is that I like the idea of all of our lives being interconnected, and that, uh, time is a circle. Something. ...more

Bought this book as the first to read on my trip driving around Australia. Although I started it the first day on the road I actually don't read much while away camping so made very slow progress.

I had high hopes for this book given all the hype but have to say I was a little confused and disappointed with it... There were some stand-out chapters however that I thought could work just as well as stand-alone short stories - I adored Sonmi-451, amazing!
