I had to read this book as well for my yound adult literature class. This book is definetly not a young adult book. It has a lot of adult content and is very negative. I was happy to be done reading it because it was so depressing. The author has an amazing writing style, but the characters are not endearing. Not good.
A piece of literary fiction that spans the classifications of YA and adult, but really feels more adult than anything else, since half of it is spent on the perspectives of 20 and 30 year olds. Note some aspects of this book may not be suitable for all readers.
