What Members Thought
This was a wonderful book. It is narrated by Maud in her later years (age 82) and shifts back and forth to her teenage years during WWII. Maud is not a reliable narrator and it is a challenge to follow her thinking when she is in her 80's. The author did a fantastic job in creating the voice of Maud. Quite an incredible job considering that this is a debut novel. I will certainly be keeping my eye out for future books by Emma Healey.
