What Members Thought

The author does a really nice job reading his own stories. He reads fairly fast - for many audiobooks I use the feature on my mp3 player to speed up the sound by about 20%, but I did not use that for this recording. These stories were fun, unusual, and thought-provoking. I hadn't read anything else by this author, or even really heard of him, before this collection was selected as a Group Read for a book challenge.

Short stories are not something that I seek out often but for Books on the Nightstand summer Bingo I will give a new (to me)author a try. The first 5 stories of the book are all I need to finish the "read 10 short stories" square. If I continue with the book after that I must be hooked.... (To be continued)

No words can describe how completely weird, strange and f'ed up this book was.

While I respect these stories as well written, with some interesting comments on humanity and where we're heading looking toward the future, I got annoyed with them. Too weird, too repetitive. I admit I still have a few more stories to read but they're going to have to wait until summer.
