Amazing story!
This would be a fascinating book club book. The discussions of medical ethics and privacy laws are worth having, especially where they intersect with racism, classism, and the damned patriarchy.
The first 1/3 to 1/2 was absolutely fascinating and captivating. I really wanted more info about Henrietta and her story, and it's a just such a shame that there wasn't more known about her. Only two known pictures of her? Just so sad. Overall this was a really intriguing glimpse into Henrietta's life, an interesting and informative scientific read, and then a LOT about Deborah and a bit about the rest of the Lacks family.
