This was so interesting and I am really happy that I picked it up. I've heard so much about this - and about Henrietta in the past few months (year?) as the book gains popularity and the news becomes more widespread. It is a fascinating look at the history of medicine in the US - especially around patient consent and patient rights. But it is also a very personal story of the Lacks family and what hey went through. Highly recommend! ...more

Wanted to read before watching the HBO movie, loved both the book and the movie. Oprah really outdid herself with this one!
