I loved this book! I am a big fan of reading books then watching the movies--so I can't wait to see how they filmed it. The little boy is just so interesting, as are all the people in the book. It is a really thought-provoking book and is kind of a statement of the effects of war/terrorism. Does have some vulgarity/swearing.

Not my typical type of book but I enjoyed it. I really liked Oskar. He was very endearing. I loved the scenes between him and his father. The book was confusing at first and it took me a little bit to figure out what was happening. The story kept going back and forth between past and present so I kept getting lost. But once I got the hang of the author's writing style then it was easier to keep up and the book became more enjoyable.

Clever, funny, heartbreaking and thought-provoking all at once. This took me a while to get through, because it was hard to read at times, but it's definitely worth it. A September 11th book that isn't black & white, it exposes instead the ambiguities and nuances of life. Well worth a read!
