A unforgettable and beautifully told story of the friendship between two boys growing up in Kabul, Afghanistan. It is a great insight into certain parts of Afghan culture - I mean, have you ever heard of Kite running? A fascinating entertainment. I thought it was a biography it is so well

Quite sad, though I found the theme of guilt then redemption somewhat uplifting, if not exactly happy. Also a good read, in that it's hard to put down.
