OMG! This was distrubing but amazing. I picked it up because it was referenced as being a Lord Of The Flies for the 21st century. That's a pretty bold statement to live up to but the comparision was correct. Now, LOTF will always reign supreme but Nothing was a great book. It's a little slow going at the start but then midway through it picks up and had me on the edge of my seat. It might be a bit confusing for some because there's a lot of talk about meaning. Existentialism + Danish teens + Heap of Meaning = Horrifying. At the beginning of the school year, one student decides that nothing has meaning and climbs a plum tree to taunt the other students with plums and half baked nihilism.
