I read this book about four years ago and was a bit lost when I read it then. Now that His Dark Materials are being made into movies I intend to reread them all and hopefully have a better grasp at the whole story. But due to my "busy" schedule, I'm gonna take the easy road and listen to the audio book instead. I finished The Golden Compass about two weeks ago and watched the movie, which thoroughly disappointed me. sigh... But anyhow, I hope The Subtle Knife doesn't...

This book just pulls me in and even in the second reading, I forgot how many twists and turns this story takes. So wonderful...I always find myself so emotionally attached to these characters, no matter if they're good or bad.
