What Members Thought
This was...good. I listened to it and the girl (as in the movie) got annoying after a while. I did like it well enough to add the next one, The Subtle Knife, to my list.
Eli and I rented the film version of The Golden Compass not long ago and the first thing I said after we watched it was, "I bet that was a much better book than it is a movie." I was right. Don't bother with the movie; just read the book. It's original and engaging, even for adults.
