This book had a really great premise. Honestly, though, it was poor execution. I thought the number of methods the couple tried to get the prince out of the book was overkill, although I understood how important it was to the authors to cover all the bases. All the same, with less pages, the action (and emotion and suspense) would have been compacted - maybe a short story or novella would have been a better choice.
This was a really weird book with a twisty plot and made me wonder how it was going to end. You think that the story ends when you close the book but what if it doesn't. What if the characters have dreams of their own. And how far would they go to make those dreams come true. I'm not sure if this book is for everybody but I enjoyed it.

I liked this story okay. I thought it was super creative. It's more middle school level and has a lot of fairy tale elements.
