I really liked this book, I enjoyed the complexity of all the characters, but some of the plotlines/history/magic stuff was a little complicated for me to keep up with. I LOVED the character of Luke and how he is such a great dad to Clary ... the werewolf thing is pretty cool ;) The length of this book overwhelmed me a little, but not so much that I didn't want to keep picking up this book and continuing with the story. I like the story, I hate the characters... or the main characters. The minute a character became "main", he/she became uninteresting egocentric intolerable a-hole.

I might have enjoyed this story more if I had read it during my post-Twilight, YA euphoria but now it was just ok.
