A fascinating book about a very dysfunctional family. What's interesting - and disturbing to me - is that the author tells it in a very emotionless way, although some of the events she describes made my blood boil. There is very little processing of the material - at least that we are privy to.

The second read was as powerful as the first. Walls' writing is so strong. This book is hilarious and tragic, and ends on a positive note. Walls' parents were absolutely brilliant, amazing people, and were simultaneously destructive, selfish, and abusive to their children.
