I almost didn't get into this book...it was such a slow start and filled (at first) with details about the financial industry that bored me to tears, even though I sensed it was a setup for the rest of the book. I abhor info dumps in books so I was mildly annoyed by this. However, I stuck through it and when the book brought all the pieces together and it got interesting, I was hooked. I can't wait to see the movie now!

i tried to listen to this on tape - and i really didn't like it. Then i saw the print version at the library and thought i would give it a whirl. It took me a while ti get into it, but when i did, i liked the book. I am not quite sure why people are so crazy about this book - i did enjoy the characters. I thought this book started out slow, but by the end I was totally sucked in and stayed up late to finish it. The tone is a little strange -- kind of cold and removed, but if you make it through the first part of the book the story does become really enthralling. I am interested to read the other books by this author.
