I don't read horror much, and this is not exactly horror - it's Neil Gaiman, so like fantasy-horror - but it freaked me right out. To give you an idea of how much I loved this book, I started it at 9:25 at night and finished it just after the 11 o'clock news was coming on. What a lovely, heart-breaking, frightening book. This was a pretty decent read. I wish there had been a bit more about this strange world that the story takes place in. It felt a little bit like being dropped into the middle of a world and then yanked back out without any context.

That said, the ideas behind it were brilliant and the story itself was an enjoyable read.

Just read this. Right now. Just read it.

And when you love the book, read the acknowledgments because even they are great.

I had forgotten a lot of what went on in this book, which is the best. I love how twisty it is, but man it is horrifying.

This book was gritty and horrifying and oh so good. Deliciously creepy.
