in the first chapter where Ethan is describing what he's wearing and then what he looks like after he finally sees himself in the mirror was giving 2000s YA and i love that.
anyway, it's perfectly readable and perfectly boring. it's adult scifi for people who are too embarrassed to read YA.

Immaculate vibes! Crouch is a master of sci-fi in my opinion and this did not disappoint one bit. Super fast with great thrilling twists along the way. Loved the way the plot was developed and delivered. Can't wait to start book two when my hold finally comes in!

Ahhh. This is the first Crouch book that I didn’t love. In fact, I put it down for 6 months. I recently started again and I actually liked the ending a lot. *Might* get me to read book 2.
