UUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH. In fairness, I didn't know a thing about this book except what the front cover looked like (spooky), so I was all set for a mystery or a crime drama. Really wanted to give this one something between one and two stars. The prose was just awkward. More than anything, it reminded me of The Celestine Prophecy - philosophy / agenda clumsily inserted into a less-than-thrilling narrative. If you want to write a treatise, write a treatise. Leave the novel-writing to others.
