I'd say this has been my least favorite of Jodi Picoult's book. The storyline seemed intriguing, a father with a hidden past, a mother as the chief breadwinner in the household, and their teenage daughter whose relationship with her boyfriend goes farther than she would like. When the father finds out his daughter was raped, his dark side emerges, with furious anger directed towards her boyfriend.
