I read this when I was in elementary school, either 3rd or 4th grade, and loved it. I've decided to revisit books from my childhood to see if that love and excitement for the book is still there. I'm hoping that I enjoy this book as much now as I did way back then. Update to follow...

Wow. What a difference listening to a wonderful narration can make! When I originally read this book several years ago (for the first time and as an adult), I didn't care for it. I gave it two stars. Now, I want to recommend it to my sister to listen to with her daughter.

I am sure this is a great book to hold and read but I highly recommend listening to Rainn Wilson read this. My 11 year old and I finished in it one day while doing a puzzle. I kinda want to start it over.
I didn't think it was possible to enjoy this book any more than I did when I was young, but I was wrong. Only got better as I got older. Even more wonderful than I had remembered.
