I love this book. It’s a weird meandering journey full of strange old gods and strange American places that I hope really do exist, and at the same time a story about family and history and survival.
I'd been meaning to re-read this forever, and then I came across the 10th year anniversary audiobook of the extended special edition, done with a full voice cast. the rest is beloved history.

Still pondering my reaction to this .... the first half can be daunting and push you away because of slow moments, but the first part is absolutely essential to understanding the second half. Great story and an excellent recording. the version I listened to had an interview with Neil Gaiman at the end which was insightful.
