Very enjoyable. It helped that the narrator of the audiobook was Rebecca Lowman. She is one of my favorite female narrators. I love her "guy" voice. I don't know why but it just works for me. This could have easily been a 5 star book if there was a little more to the ending. Not everything was wrapped up so you were left hanging on a few things. But I've noticed that is quite common with Rainbow Rowell. Her books are amazing but the ending kind of falls flat. Epilogues would help that out a lot. ...more

I enjoyed it as chick lit. The characters were not as developed as I expected and it was a bit sappy at the end. A good rom-com but I found Georgie to be almost intolerable in her desperation and Neal deplorable in his miserable apathy. Still, Rainbow Rowell has a knack for nailing emotions and there are some sentences that won't
come out of my head, so I can't totally discount the book even if the characters fell a bit flat.

It's a valentine of a book. More of a script than a fiction and doesn't match the brilliance of Eleanor and Park. I almost didn't finish but the occasional smart things that the characters say and think about marriage kept me going. It's an easy read. Kind of charming, kind of obvious. ...more
