I enjoyed it as chick lit. The characters were not as developed as I expected and it was a bit sappy at the end. A good rom-com but I found Georgie to be almost intolerable in her desperation and Neal deplorable in his miserable apathy. Still, Rainbow Rowell has a knack for nailing emotions and there are some sentences that won't
come out of my head, so I can't totally discount the book even if the characters fell a bit flat.
Cute but not a book I would read again. ...more

Another great book by Rainbow Rowell, though my favorite is still Attachments.
The characters in this book are great...all of them. They are written multi-dimensional so you don't love or hate any one...their good and bad is presented. I thought the protagonists dilemma was well written and real. The story did get a little quirky which is why I gave it four stars, but it was a very enjoyable read. In addition, I loved the pop culture references!

It's a valentine of a book. More of a script than a fiction and doesn't match the brilliance of Eleanor and Park. I almost didn't finish but the occasional smart things that the characters say and think about marriage kept me going. It's an easy read. Kind of charming, kind of obvious.

Addicting read as always. I would have liked to have "met" Dawn and known a bit more about both her and Seth.

Clever plotline. Could've developed the characters more. I wasn't super invested in the book.

Not a fan. Don't repeat my mistake - if you find yourself bored or waiting for the story to pick up, just do yourself a favor and take it back to the library, and choose something else to read.
