This was my favorite Rainbow Rowell book yet. It was adult fiction, not her usual YA fare. It had more grown-up, adult relationships (but I won't necessarily say more mature because that's one of the things I love about Rowell's YA works, her characters tend to be wise and mature beyond their years!) and the book dealt with adult experiences, while delving into the characters' young adult past. I enjoyed the premise of this book and the sentimentality hit the right notes for me, but I find that some of the characters were drawn a bit on the thin side. I did care about them, but I wanted a bit ... more.

Not a fan. Don't repeat my mistake - if you find yourself bored or waiting for the story to pick up, just do yourself a favor and take it back to the library, and choose something else to read.
