This is much more of an adult novel that "Eleanor and Park." I really liked this book - it reminded me of a Jennifer Weiner book in many ways, only not as dark. (i know Jennifer Weiner isn't really dark but for chick lit she seems to throw in some random slightly tragic elements for depth.) I can't pretend I acted cool when I discovered this book in the ARC box. I was extremely glad no one else was around so I didn't have to fight for it. All it took was seeing the author's name. I didn't read the plot summary, even after I got it safely home. I dove right in and enjoyed every second.
Rainbow Rowell just gets people. And life. And love. Her work so far has been brilliant and Landline is no different.
