What Members Thought

I have never been a huge fan of Amy Poehler, but her book looked interesting, and I loved her as Golden Globe co-host, so I thought I'd give it a try. Now? Now I am a big fan. She's funny, relatable, tough, and pretty damn cool. I liked that she didn't go off on anybody, didn't give away nitty gritty secrets, and just kept it real. There's some good advice in this book, and some great anecdotes. Good on ya, Amy!

I really enjoyed this - I liked Poehler's writing style, I liked her humor and appreciated her realness and not feeling like comedian Amy had to be "on" for the whole book. I wanted more Parks & Rec, but loved what she included about the cast and series - I do wonder if there would have been more about the show had the series already ended at the time of writing. Overall an interesting, entertaining read.

This book was so so so good! Amy is so down to earth and relatable. I loved hearing her perspective on so many topics from divorce to Hollywood to how to raise children. I was not even a fan before I checked this out, but now I want to watch everything she's in.
