For the most part I really enjoyed the book, but I felt that the end of book, basically the last 50 pages, kinda fell flat. I understand why King had to do what he had to do at the end, but it kinda seemed like a bit of a cop out, especially since he had spent so much of the book building towards the day of the shooting.

Probably between 3 and 4 stars. Some of the writing felt a little cliche, or at least written for a movie (I've never read a Stephen King book before so am guessing that his books are generally like that). However, he certainly knows how to write a thriller -- I could not put this book down. It went by so quickly and looked forward to reading it (then could not tear myself away). I didn't love the ending -- the repercussions of the main character's actions seemed a little drastic to me -- but ov

Don't be scared of the length of the book, this story really keeps you going. The national geographic channel just made a movie called Killing Kennedy, and it was all stuff I was reading about in this novel...it's more historical fiction than it is sci/fi. I like the idea of time travel and how much of an impact each and every one of us has on the world.
