2008: I am bored off my face and I am about halfway through this. I picked it up after being convinced by a friend to give it a second chance, and now I feel some incomprehensible urge to finish it.

2011: I tried to like this book. I put it down, thinking that perhaps I wasn't in the right headspace to like it. I love this book. I've read it twice now. I would highly recomend it to anyone who likes the Wicked Witch... though if you are a die hard Wizard of Oz fan who doesn't want their view of the movie tampered with, I would hesitate to recomend it. You will never see the Witch the same again. ...more

I thought this book was really interesting. It certainly makes you think of the Wizard of Oz in a completely different way. I have to give it a thumbs up, and I would love to see the musical someday.
