An excellent summer read. It's long, so invest some time, but it's fun. I must say I like the storyline of the musical, which is drastically different, a bit better.

something about the fact that this takes a traditional "fairy-tale" and twists its on its head is remarkable. the development of the characters is beautiful, the backstory for the Wicked Witch is so believable, and you are left wanting more, i think.

I loved the premise and the first third of this book. It was downhill from there.
I'd rather watch the musical again :)
