This is one of those books that I would have appreciated so much more if it had been split into two. I was interested for the better part of the book, but it started to loose me with a third of the book left. By then I had my favorite characters and was getting bored with the rest.

This book was good - but very detailed and very loooong. I liked the story but there was so many characters to keep track of, it made for difficult reading if you want to remember everything. i had my favorite characters but there were others i didn't care about. The war/battle scenes also got to be a bit much. BUT i really did like the book a great deal. I may read the rest of the series but i definitely want to see the TV show.
