I was not sure if I would like this series or not. I had not watched the show before I started reading the first book, and I'm glad.
The characters and the intrigue are the most compelling to me so far. Having the chapters from the points of view of the characters further cement readers' connections to them. Wow, I REALLY enjoyed this book. It was epic, it was full of excellent characters, plus a thrilling through-line, with some magic and fantasy thrown in. Thank you, world of Facebook for bringint the TV show to my attention, thus leading me to this book. (Although at close to 800 pages I wish it could count as two books towards my reading challenge!). Looking forward to the second book in this series.
Such a good book!! Too much sex, but otherwise, really well done.
Brilliant, loved it. Can't wait to start on the next one.
