The Cook evening book club rated this book an 8 and we had an excellent and lively discussion. I'm not sure I would have chosen to read this book with all the great new books competing for my limited reading time, but I'm glad I had to read it.

It took a pretty cover and a dinner party with friends to make me return to and finish this classic. (I know I faked my way through it in high school or college at some point.)
Love it. If you did too, try Wide Sargasso Sea.
