One of the coolest children books ever :) Rereading this reminds me why I loved this book so much as a kid. The gothic feeling, mysterious illness, secret place and the flowers, the animals, the sun... This book made me want to go out and play :D
This book was one of my childhood favorites. I forgot about it until I saw it on a list but I really loved this story, I read it numerous times and also saw the movie quite a few times.
Fun to reread this as an adult. Still just as beautiful.
