A paradigm shift in how we think of white supremacy and racism in the US and (or) an excellent addition to the existing history and literature. Using the Caste system in India as well as the Nazi regime in Germany and Europe for comparison, Wilkerson proposes a new way of thinking about individuals not based on race, but by Caste position informed by race/ethnicity/religion.

Exceptional book that deserves all of its hype. I told a group of friends that it is the world's most beautifully written throat punch, and I can't think of another way to describe it. Wilkerson's writing is out of this world incredible.
