Every now and again, I truly wish I was better at math and science than I am. This is one of those times. the only thing more enjoyable than the pure content of this volume was listening to NDT narrate the work himself.

I understood approximately 75% but I felt like was a win. I especially loved the chapter on the Periodic Table and the explanation of why Pluto is no longer a planet. I've never quite accepted why they took it away from poor little Pluto but NdT got me there.
I also really liked the last chapter, "Reflections on the Cosmic Perspective". It really reminds me of how we are just a part of such a bigger plan. ...more

Digestible info about astrophysics and our universe... This was a quick read and had bits of humor woven in as well (so it is not a super dry science read).
1) I could listen to NDT narrate for days.
2) Even if I listen to this for days on repeat, I’m pretty sure I still won’t understand it.
3) MAYBE print would be better. But I think I still probably need Astrophysics for Dummies, which this is not.

The book is good. I can listen to NdGT talk forever. But I have to admit I am still not at all into astrophysics. I'm glad people are. I hope this book falls into the hands of people who want a better understanding of the cosmos. I have to admit I am fine just looking at the sky without any understanding.
