I loved the parts about being a falconer and training the goshawk, but I could've done with a little less T.H. White. Overall an enjoyable read.

This book was beautifully written and haunting. I loved the way she interwove her own story with that of the author T.H. White, who wrote The Goshawk as well as an Arthurian series, The Once and Future King. And the book is about history, nature, personal loss, the loss of land and habitats. My description can't do it justice, really. It is at once a personal book about the loss of her father, but it is also a book about the history of the world and everything in it.
