It's only fitting that I read this latest installment in Mitchell's hyper-connected oeuvre on 10/31/15 - the actual day the narrative concludes. It's thrilling as always to slip back into his universe and see some familiar faces (a favorite near the end in particular!). Here's hoping the wait for his next book is as short as this one was.

Still unsure how to exactly feel about this book.
On the one hand, I did read this pretty quickly, which after a bit of a personal fiction drought, was a welcome event.
But there were too many things that left me puzzled and not necessarily in a good way...
The plot left me with lots and lots of unanswered questions. Unusual universes have to make sense within themselves and follow their own "rules"...and I didn't feel as if this book did. One too many "oh yeah, this can happen as well, did we forg ...more

Reminded me of Marcus Sedgwick's Midwinterblood, which wasn't bad, since I really liked both books.
