Seamstress Frances makes a crazy scandalous dress for a princess who hates dresses and gets hired by Prince Sebastian, who loves to wear dresses. This is very sweet, charming, gorgeous art. I wish more had been devoted to their friendship/relationship, but I enjoyed it. And cheered for Frances's big break at the end!

Super important book for my young genderqueer child.
4.5 stars. This is a charming graphic novel set in Paris . The central characters in the book are 16 yeR old Sebastian, the prince of Belgium, and Frances a dressmaker. The story touches on family, identity and gender roles.
I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this book, I just didn't love it as much as others seem to.
