Black Beauty's stories are as beautiful as his name. I thought this book was going to be a bit boring and slow, like Greyfriars Bobby. But turned out it's really good, the flow of story was in the right pace, and the adventures and journeys of Black Beauty could make me feel warm all of a sudden - even though I'm not a horse lover! Too sad. I know it's a classic, but I don't like stories where the main character suffers up til the very end, and then is rescued. there has to be SOME joy in the story throughout the book for me to enjoy it. How can people treat innocent animals like this? so sad. poor beauty. ...more
