Just not my cup of coffee. As a real librarian (and not a fantasy adventure agent Librarian with a capital L), I feel sometimes like titles such as this attempt to pander to people in my profession. Yeah, most of us librarians do feel a sense of importance and pride in our work, and most of us genuinely love books as objects, as art, and as vessels of information and knowledge. Had this as an ARC from BEA 2015...finally got around to it. I'm a sucker for "library" or "book" in a title, but despite this ostensibly being all about the workings of a mysterious omnipotent Library, other than a few literary nods here and there, it didn't really scratch that book-lover itch. It was a fun steampunky adventure, with a strong female lead. Wasn't a waste of time to read, but I don't think I'll pursue the series.
