A multigenerational story about a Palestinian family constantly uprooted by war. The family is the center of the story as they survive through the ward and trauma and reshuffling of their home as a place and as an ideal. A great read to shed some light on how families are impacted by global crises, it shows the problems but doesn’t draw any conclusions for the reader. The novel brought whole new meaning not only to third culture kids, but what about children and adults who don’t know their famil ...more
