This was a beautiful book and I enjoyed it even though I'm not very familiar with Greek mythology or the Illiad. I loved how real Patrocles and Achilles felt and how beautifully their love was described. It made me want to know more about the Illiad and the Trojan War and I'm excited to discuss this book in a few weeks at our book discussion!

Welp I wanted a book with anguish and longing, and I got it. I would have given this 5 stars if reading it didn't make me so angry and sad thanks to hubris, war, and the endless waste of human lives.
