This breathtaking novel is a retelling of Homer’s ‘Iliad’ from the perspective of Patroclus. The story follows Patroclus from childhood to his death in the Trojan War. He first meets Achilles when his own father banishes him and sends him to live with Achilles’ father who fosters boys and trains them to become soldiers.
