What Members Thought

Three-quarters of this book were AMAZING. Thought-provoking and unique and then the author just sort of ends the book with a whimper and not a bang. There were a lot of unanswered questions (tell me more about Kevin's journey!) and I felt that such a well-written book deserved a much better ending. That said, I think I've found a new (to me) author!

This book sticks with me as I've often wondered about my reactions if I lived in another time. Butler fully explores these fears and challenges and crafts a story that is both touching and haunting.

About time I got to this time-travel classic. It's so interesting to read a story about slavery told by a contemporary narrator actually experiencing it. I can see why this is a classic.
